  Works perfectly with a smart plug. Only thing to note is that it makes a slight quick when it turns on and off, but nothing obnoxious. It does warm up when in use, but nothing extreme.   Had an issue with the solenoid sticking in the on position but the customer service quickly responded to my email and talked me through how to fix It.
