Description

A Mixer Reactor Diffuser uses the outlet from a filter or pump to mix CO2 directly with the water before entering the aquarium. The process works by mixing the CO2 and water at the top of the diffuser using dual impellers, which spin using the force of water entering the reactor.

The outlet is located at the bottom of the reactor chamber, and therefore only fully diffused CO2/water exits the device because the CO2 will remain at the top of the unit it is fully diffused. The result is that near 100% CO2 absorption can be achieved.

The reactor will fit 12/16mm tubing, but spacers are also included to enable fitting of 16/22mm tubing.

Instructions

  • Reactors are installed on the return / outflow tubing from a filter as the water is reintroduced to the aquarium.
  • Cut or replace your filter tubing with PVC tubing.
  • Attach filter tubing to corresponding inlet/outlet of the reactor.
  • Connect CO2 supply to CO2 inlet of the reactor.
  • Turn filter and CO2 on and allow reactor to fill with water.
  • Invert (turn upside down) the reactor to eject any trapped air.
  • Adjust CO2 rate until desired level of dosing is achieved.

Seems to work well, can't see any bubbles in the tank so mean all the CO2 is being difused in the reactor like its meant to Seems to work well, can't see any bubbles in the tank so mean all the CO2 is being difused in the reactor like its meant to

Works well when set up, watch out for the seal at bottom as it leaked when I first got it. Runs relatively quiet, even when co2 there is only a little water trickle sound. Very little bubbles. Mine is being used on a 40L tank so it works for small tanks too. Works well when set up, watch out for the seal at bottom as it leaked when I first got it. In an attempt to remove as move kit from inside the tank I ordered this to replace my in tank diffuser, Easy to install but you do need to get some clips for feed and return pipes. It was running for 1 few hours but noticed that the rota inside occasionally stuck and it needed a tap to get it to go again. Stripped it down and removed both internal rotas to find that there were ridges left over read more... Stripped it down and removed both internal rotas to find that there were ridges left over from the mold. Used some fine wet/dry sand paper to sand them off, refitted it and it not only runs fine but it's much quieter. Very few bubbles in return to tank so it must be working....

No visible signs of co2 bubbles in my aquarium using this reactor, so no wasted gas now. For the first time I now get lime green all day on my drop checker. As others has said though, the hose connections aren't water tight without hose clips. It is also a little noisy, which may annoy some people. Had the hose connections been better and supplied with a screw/surface type bracket I would give 5 read more... Works well, traps the CO2 and don't get much coming out. I put some filter foam at the bottom to trap any CO2 trying to escape. Works well, traps the CO2 and don't get much coming out. I put some filter foam at the bottom to trap any CO2 trying to escape.
